SCM Officer (Level 4) (Re-Advert)

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 plus a National Diploma in Accounting, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Financial Management, or an equivalent qualification.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Supply Chain Management (SCM) support function for the municipality, including demand, acquisition, and disposal.
  • Handle acquisition management by monitoring the database of vendors and suppliers for purchasing goods and services.
  • Conduct analyses of procurement expenditure from previous years.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual SCM reports.
  • Collaborate with the manager to assess SCM processes and ensure bid procedures are managed correctly.
  • Establish and maintain bid administrative procedures, including bid specification and evaluation committee meetings.
  • Manage the safekeeping of SCM documents, including proper filing.
  • Manage contracts and service level agreements with bidders.
