The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) works to manage, protect, and conserve South Africa’s environment and natural resources. This role is guided by section 24 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, which gives everyone the right to a healthy environment.

Requirements:
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF7) in Risk Management, Auditing, Strategic Management, or a related field recognized by SAQA.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies such as IRMSA, IIA, or Ethics organizations.
- Certification as a fraud examiner or ethics officer is an advantage.
- At least five (5) years of experience at senior management level in a related field.
- Completion of the Senior Management Pre-entry Programme from the National School of Government (NSG) is required before appointment.
- Strong experience in risk management, forensics, auditing, and/or ethics management.
- Deep knowledge of key frameworks, including the Public Sector Risk Management Framework, Public Service Anti-Corruption Strategy, Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act, standards from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (2000), Public Service Regulatory Framework, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), and Treasury Regulations.
- Skills in project and strategic management, plus an understanding of government priorities, policies, legislation, and enterprise risk management principles.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), planning, facilitation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to gather and analyze information, develop and apply policies, and work under pressure.
