Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies at Greenhills Mall (Empangeni – New Store) is looking for a Retail Store Assistant to join the team. The main goal of this role is to help manage the store by handling operational and administrative tasks according to company policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Knowledge of SAP.
- Retail experience
Job Specification
- Report all customer compliments and complaints to management.
- Build professional relationships with customers.
- Handle and resolve customer stock queries.
- Communicate effectively with customers and provide feedback when needed.
- Assist customers with inquiries and direct them to the right departments if necessary.
- Meet the company’s customer turnover per hour targets.
- Manage shorts and overs at the point of sale, including handling floats.
- Process refund and return transactions.
- Handle back shopping and returned goods properly.
- Check deliveries and invoices for accuracy.
- Help the Receiving Manager prepare and log claims with the Distribution Centre.
- Manage and control high-risk stock.
- Complete daily run reconciliations.
- Prepare, order, and receive branch change needs to ensure cashiers have enough change for good customer service.
- Maintain good communication with relevant teams.
- Keep accurate records of documents like floats, petty cash, and cash on hand.
