The Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs offers a 24-month Internship Programme for unemployed graduates.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be from KwaZulu-Natal (proof of residence required, such as a Ward Councillor letter, municipal bill, or affidavit).
  • Applicants must be unemployed and have never participated in an internship programme from any government department.
  • Applicants must have successfully completed a 3- or 4-year qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • The qualification must be in one of the following fields: Disaster Management, Environmental Science, or Safety Management.
