Key Performance Areas

  • Provide effective administrative support in processing service terminations.
  • Manage the leave process, including implementing the Policy and Procedure on Incapacity Leave and Ill-Health Retirement (PILIR).
  • Process leave gratuities and discounting.
  • Administer service benefits.
  • Handle pension withdrawal processes.
  • Ensure the effective and efficient use of resources.

Prerequisites

  • Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • A certificate or qualification in Human Resource Management will be an added advantage.

Person Profile

Knowledge, Competencies, and Skills:

  • Knowledge of human resource policies, legislation, and practices, plus the ability to enter data and use a computer.
  • Working knowledge of the legislative framework for the Public Service.
  • Understanding of human resource administration practices.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong organizing skills, problem-solving abilities, client focus, accuracy, and attention to detail.
