AAMP Project Manager

Purpose of the Role:

To manage the Agriculture and Agro-processing Master Plan (AAMP) project effectively and ensure its efficient delivery. Provide support services throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Coordinate and support project activities to ensure smooth management and success.
  • Plan, monitor, and control project tasks as outlined in the AAMP Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Define project goals and objectives with stakeholders, ensuring they are feasible.
  • Track financial spending and deliver the project within budget.
  • Use verification methods to handle changes in scope, schedule, and execution.
  • Measure project performance with suitable tools and techniques.
  • Handle procurement according to supply chain policies.
  • Manage daily project operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate AAMP implementation in the agricultural sector.

Project Governance & Compliance

  • Keep risk registers for strategy, operations, and fraud related to the project.
  • Track internal controls and link them to key risks.
  • Organize governance tasks like meetings, presentations, and quality checks.
  • Report challenges to project management and develop mitigation plans.
  • Address non-compliance issues and promote good corporate governance.
  • Ensure AAMP follows laws and regulations using proper methods.
  • Support the risk unit with administration.
  • Maintain a register of risk incidents, including insurance and litigation claims.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

  • Build strong relationships with management and stakeholders.
  • Create and update a stakeholder database.
  • Develop a communications plan for the project.
  • Attend meetings, workshops, and conferences related to AAMP.
  • Report progress to stakeholders.

Key Competencies:

  • Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office software.
  • Knowledge of quality management, contract management, and project management methods.
  • Project support, financial management, time management, communication, and writing skills.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Agricultural Economics or equivalent.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in project management.
