Job Description

  • We are looking for a competitive retail Sales Assistant to help customers find and buy the products they want. Duties include selling, restocking, and merchandising. The goal is to provide excellent customer service and help the company grow through increased sales.
  • You will need to work different shifts, including trading and non-trading hours, Sundays, and public holidays.

What You’ll Do

This is a list of tasks you will handle during your workdays.

  • Provide high levels of customer satisfaction through great sales service.
  • Keep the store in top condition and maintain visual merchandising standards.
  • Ensure the store is fully stocked.
  • Understand customers’ needs and preferences.
  • Recommend and show items that match customer needs.
  • Welcome and greet customers.
  • Handle point-of-sale processes.
  • Help receive new shipments.
  • Stay updated on product information.
  • Describe product features and benefits accurately.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

These are the things you need to be considered for this role.

  • Matric certificate.
  • Experience as a Sales Assistant, Sales Associate, Salesperson, Retail Salesperson, Cashier, or Shop Assistant.
  • Live within 15km of the job location.
  • Clear criminal record.

Preferences

Meeting these would be a plus, but they are not required.

  • South African citizens.
  • Candidates with their own transport.
  • Candidates aged 18 to 65.
