Child Minder Jobs

We are looking for a dedicated Child Minder to join our team at Groote Schuur Hospital Childcare Centre. You will care for children aged 0 to 5 years and help create a safe and happy environment.

Key Requirements

• Appropriate experience in child care.
• Numeracy, literacy skills, and a Child Care Certificate.
• Good interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Skills in child minding, Educare teaching, and training.
• Ability to multitask and take responsibility for each child.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts or rotations.

Main Duties

• Provide quality child care at the GSH Childcare Centre.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and happy environment for children.
• Supervise children aged 0 to 5 years.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and guardians.
• Report any incidents or issues to the relevant manager, parent, or guardian.
• Provide classroom cover when needed.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment to prevent infections.

Salary and Benefits

R 163 680 per year, plus benefits including a 13th cheque, pension fund contribution, housing allowance, and medical aid allowance.
