Senior Administrative Officer: Finance and Supply Chain Management

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience in finance, revenue, patient administration, and supply chain management.
  • Experience in budget and expenditure control, as well as managing asset and liability accounts.
  • Proven supervisory skills.
  • A three-year National Diploma or Degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Logis and Integrated Procurement Solutions (IPS).
  • Good organizational, managerial, and leadership skills, with a strong ability to work with financial data.
  • In-depth understanding of financial regulations, departmental policies, delegations, and procedures.
  • Excellent people management skills, ability to work in a team, and motivate others.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in LOGIS, BAS, IPS, Clinicom, and Accounts Receivable systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), National Treasury Regulations, and Provincial Treasury Regulations.
  • A valid driver’s license (Code B/EB/C1).
  • No payment is required for applying to this position. Shortlisted candidates may need to complete a practical test.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all supply chain management functions and ensure effective procurement policies and processes.
  • Handle inventory control, warehouse management, and asset management.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports, and assist with annual and interim financial statements.
  • Clear asset and liability accounts.
  • Supervise patient administration, medical records, and hospital fees departments.
  • Ensure proper labor practices are followed and implemented.

Salary:

R 397 116 per annum – R 467 790 per annum, plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer’s contribution to pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
