Requirements

• Good communication skills.
• Self-discipline and motivation.
• A qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse.
• Registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.
• Willingness to work extended hours, after hours, and on outreach projects.
• Willingness to rotate to hospital facilities and other clinics in the sub-district when needed.

Experience

• Grade 1: No prior experience required.
• Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of appropriate nursing experience after registration as a Staff Nurse with the SANC.
• Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years of appropriate nursing experience after registration as a Staff Nurse with the SANC.

• Candidates without the required registration may apply, but must provide proof of application for registration with the relevant council and payment of fees before the interview.
• This applies only to first-time registrants or those changing registration status.

Salary

• Grade 1: R 220 614 per annum
• Grade 2: R 262 287 per annum
• Grade 3: R 306 798 per annum

Annual salary plus service benefits, including a 13th cheque, employer’s contribution to the pension fund, housing allowance, and medical aid allowance.
