Internship | Unemployed Learner | Risk and Compliance Disciplines

An opportunity exists for an unemployed learner to join an internship in Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance. This program offers an enthusiastic and driven young graduate a chance to showcase their skills, gain valuable work experience, and build key business competencies within the Life Healthcare Group.

Learners must hold a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Risk or Compliance Management, Financial Management, or Business Management. The internship is based at Life Healthcare’s head office in Dunkeld, Johannesburg, for 12 months.

The successful candidate will support the Group Risk Manager and Group Compliance Lead in implementing the Group Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Group Compliance Framework. This includes working with Senior Enterprise Risk Managers and the Privacy Officer to promote a culture of strong risk management and ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including privacy laws.

The internship is registered with the HWSETA. Interns will receive a monthly stipend of R6,000 for 12 months.

Critical Outputs

• Learners must be unemployed to qualify.
• Only South African citizens under 35 will be considered.
• Learners must have completed their qualification.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with updating risk management, compliance, and privacy frameworks.
• Support Risk and Compliance teams in implementing frameworks and strategies across the Group.
• Handle administrative tasks as assigned by the Group Risk Manager or Group Compliance Lead.
