Senior Administrative Officer: Labour Relations

Requirements:

  • A 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or Labour Relations.
  • Experience working with PERSAL and in labour relations.
  • Computer skills in MS Office. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and keep information confidential.
  • Knowledge of labour relations. Skills in presentations and facilitation.
  • A valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB). Willingness to travel in the West Coast District, Rural Health District, and Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle labour relations tasks, including investigations and representing the employer in disciplinary matters.
  • Help with planning, running, and evaluating labour relations training.
  • Interpret and apply labour relations policies, and ensure they are followed.
  • Manage cases of harassment, misconduct, grievances, and disputes effectively.
  • Keep records and databases for labour relations up to date.
  • Support Internal Municipal Liaison Committees in the district.
  • Provide administrative support to the Labour Relations Office.

Salary:

R 397 116 – R 467 790 per year, plus benefits like a 13th cheque, pension fund contribution, housing allowance, and medical aid allowance.
