Professional Nurse Grade 1 to 3 (General Nursing: Training: CHP: Community Based Services) Jobs

Key Requirements

• A basic R425 qualification, such as a diploma or degree in nursing, or an equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
• Grade 1: No experience required after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
• Grade 2: At least 10 years of appropriate experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing.
• Grade 3: At least 20 years of appropriate experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing.
• Knowledge of Integrated Health and Wellness/Community Based Services and NPO Sector Management.
• Understanding of the Nursing Code of Ethics and Professional Scope of Practice from the SANC.
• Computer skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Outlook, and database management.
• Ability to write reports and experience in training or facilitation.
• Proof of registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
• A valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB). Willingness to travel and work after hours.

Main Duties

• Plan, coordinate, implement, and facilitate formal training programs for metro health district staff, Professional Nurses, and Community Health Workers, including NPO staff.
• Provide in-service training and orientation programs.
• Mentor and coach staff, and update skills and competencies.
• Monitor, evaluate, and analyze training programs to ensure quality health services.
• Collaborate internally and externally on training to build capacity.
• Manage, coordinate, administer, and report on teaching programs effectively.

Salary

Grade 1: R 324,384 per annum
Grade 2: R 396,132 per annum
Grade 3: R 476,367 per annum
Plus annual benefits: 13th cheque, pension fund contribution, housing and medical aid allowance.
