Purpose of the Job

Red Star seeks an outgoing person who loves working with people. This role provides efficient human resources support to the branch. The People Delivery Assistant will handle administrative tasks for the Divisional People Partner and National Operations Manager. You will work closely with the Divisional People Partner and Regional People Partners. The job also includes other support tasks in the People function as needed.

Job Objectives

  • Handle administrative tasks, like updating the employee database and giving clerical support to the HR team.
  • Prepare and update HR documents when required.
  • Keep files organized and record all administration on systems for easy reference and audits.
  • Complete monthly management and staff training attendance registers.
  • Prepare weekly reports and audits.
  • Help with various HR questions and tasks, such as leave queries, pay issues, employee benefits, HR-related matters, and headcount checks.
  • Order and distribute uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Organize events like long-service awards, peak periods, training, and appreciation meals.
  • Support employee engagement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in HR Management or Industrial Psychology, or a related field (essential).

Experience

  • 1 year in an HR administrative or assistant role, with experience in different parts of the employee lifecycle, including HR administration, support, and service delivery.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, policies, training practices, and strategies.
  • Good computer skills, including email, MS Office, and other business tools.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan and organize work.
  • Effective skills in HR administration and people management.
