They aimed to provide accessible healthcare to disadvantaged communities during the apartheid years. Overcoming challenges like the Group Areas Act and without a clear plan, the group opened its first facility, Isipingo Hospital.

Key Performance Areas
- Practice within your scope as a Registered Nurse.
- Understand and follow policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Be familiar with the hospital’s policies and regulations.
- Lead and supervise staff in the theatre.
- Have experience in handling drugs, as this is a legal requirement.
- Maintain equipment and handle related requests.
- Teach staff in the unit.
- Ensure the theatre runs at the highest standards at all times.
- Comply with SANC and other relevant regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse with a valid APC.
- Good interpersonal skills with doctors, patients, and colleagues.
- Preferably two or more years of experience as a Scrub Sister.
- Preferably trained or qualified in theatre nursing.
- Willing to work additional hours when needed.
- Excellent telephone skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Computer literate in MS Word and Excel.
