Internship: Servicing Administrator

Key Purpose

  • The administration of transfers, including Section 14 and Section 50 transfers, from Discovery’s platform to other insurers or companies.

Objectives of this Role

  • Process transfers out (Section 50 and Section 14) from Discovery’s platform to other insurers or companies within set service level agreements and in line with legislation.
  • Handle phone and email queries from policyholders, financial advisors, franchises, and other insurers or companies.

Responsibilities

  • Process Section 14 and Section 50 transfers out.
  • Request and follow up on missing documents from external companies, financial advisors, franchises, and clients.
  • Manage queries via email and handle inbound calls, with possible outbound calls.
  • Address escalations and resolve service failures promptly.
  • Build relationships with financial advisors and internal and external colleagues.
  • Monitor the task list to ensure all cases meet agreed service level agreements.
  • Assist with testing and system implementations.
  • Maintain quality standards at all times.

Education and Experience

  • Matric with at least 2 years of experience as a Linked Investment Service Provider (LISP).
  • Knowledge of the Long-Term Insurance Act and Pension Fund Act regarding Section 50 and Section 14 transfers.
  • Understanding of retirement products.
  • Experience in LISP administration.
