  • Requirements: A B Degree or B-Tech in Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Five (5) years of experience in asset management, including at least three (3) years at a supervisory level.
  • Code B driver’s license.
  • A Municipal Finance Management programme certificate is an advantage.
  • Key Performance Areas include: Managing the asset verification process to ensure it aligns with the asset register.
  • Determining the life cycle of assets and putting procedures in place to extend their useful life as much as possible.
  • Handling the decommissioning of assets to ensure proper disposal.
  • Preparing maintenance plans for immovable assets that match the strategic asset management plan.
  • Managing the municipality’s insurance portfolio for immovable assets.
