Junior Assistant Adjudicator Jobs

Job Description

OPFA is looking for results-driven candidates who are passionate about service delivery, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and are team players with high levels of professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate, analyze, and identify the main points of a complaint.
• Draft correspondence and follow up with Funds and Fund Administrators.
• Analyze responses from Funds and Fund Administrators for completeness and escalate issues promptly if needed.
• Prepare draft determinations based on research, complaint analysis, team discussions, and guidance from the Line Manager.
• Submit high-quality draft determinations to the Line Manager on time.
• Handle Out of Jurisdiction matters and Settlements within deadlines.
• Review and address feedback or corrections from the Line Manager or Adjudicator.
• Assist the Line Manager or Adjudicator with projects or ad hoc tasks as required.
• Track personal statistics and monitor own performance.
• Be computer literate in MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook.

Remuneration:

OPFA offers market-related pay based on the candidate’s skills and experience.

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB).
• 3 – 4 years of legal drafting experience.
• Experience in the financial services sector is an advantage.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Pension Funds Act.
