Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • Support the Store Manager in running the store efficiently and delivering top service. Drive sales and build customer loyalty to meet sales, profit, and compliance goals, creating a strong position for the brand.

Job Objectives:

  • Help achieve the store’s financial goals by boosting sales through promotions, cross-selling, up-selling, and great customer service across the team.
  • Handle all store operations smoothly, including expenses, stock control, loss prevention, cleaning, and paperwork.
  • Set up in-store displays to meet visual standards and keep the store looking sharp to match the brand image.
  • Support the Store Manager in motivating staff, helping them hit targets, and managing the team when the manager is away.
  • Assist in creating daily work schedules that follow company labour policies and ensure all areas are properly staffed.
  • Carry out customer service plans that create positive experiences, build loyalty, and reach club card sign-up targets.
  • Manage administrative tasks efficiently, such as submitting weekly time records and employee files to HR.
  • Promote the brand as the top choice for health and beauty by living the company values.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Grade 12 (at least 50% in Maths and English) is essential.
  • A relevant Retail or Business Management qualification is essential for external applicants.
  • A degree in Retail or Business Management is desirable.
  • At least 1 year in an assistant store management role in retail or FMCG, or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme.
  • Experience in financial management, including budgets, profit and loss statements, and financial ratios.

Job Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of stock, cost, risk, and compliance procedures.
