Introduction

This role involves providing pharmaceutical care services within the scope of practice and handling daily dispensary administration according to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The focus is on script administration and general dispensing duties to ensure patient satisfaction.

Job Objectives

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers professionally and maintain strict confidentiality within SOPs and set timelines.
  • Administer scripts and handle any related claiming or capturing procedures.
  • Manage all profiles accurately and completely.
  • Interact with healthcare professionals when needed.
  • Solve problems and follow up on queries.

Duties

  • Interact with customers by phone or other means about medications and healthcare services.
  • Accurately capture scripts received at the central pharmacy.
  • Handle queries about prescriptions.
  • Manage patient profiles.
  • Assist with chronic authorizations.
  • Liaise with other departments.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks as needed for operations.

Knowledge

  • Product knowledge, including over-the-counter (OTC) items.
  • Knowledge of SAPC and relevant legal requirements.
  • Strong understanding of chronic authorization processes and procedures.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Ethical practices and compliance.
