Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Public/Environmental Health
  • Registered as an Environmental Health Practitioner with the Health Professions Council of South Africa
  • 0 – 2 years’ experience in the field of environmental health

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective and efficient delivery of environmental health services and administration within the Municipality. This includes providing quality training to target groups so they can perform their tasks well. The goal is to protect public health through planned, coordinated, controlled, and supervised activities.
  • Handle governance and risk management.
  • Prevent unnecessary spending and follow all relevant EMM and financial laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Deliver environmental health services in a way that respects policies and laws protecting customer rights.
  • Manage people effectively.
