Job Purpose
- Support clients with complex requirement analysis, systems configuration, implementation, and support for SAP modules. Use consulting skills, business knowledge, and SAP experience to integrate SAP technology into the client’s business for better results.
- Help maintain cost-effective and efficient production, quality assurance, alpha, and RTR environments. Support the organization’s goals through SAP Basis and core architecture platform technology installation, design, implementation, and support.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Information Technology and 5-7 years’ experience in an SAP Basis environment, including 2-3 years at a technically skilled level.
OR
- Senior Certificate (NQF 4) and relevant IT qualifications/certifications, plus 5-7 years’ experience in an SAP Basis environment with 2-3 years at a technically skilled level. Additional requirements may apply as specified in minimum functional requirements.

- Senior Certificate (NQF 4) and 10 years’ experience in SAP Basis, including 2-3 years at a technically skilled level.
Minimum Functional Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience in an SAP environment, ideally 2-3 years at SAP Basis specialist level.
- 5 years’ experience and knowledge of key integration points between SAP modules.
- Experience and knowledge of SAP Basis and integration points between SAP modules.
- Relevant SAP Basis training or certification.
- Relevant SAP Basis analysis and configuration experience.

- Review current business processes and recommend or develop solutions to meet client needs.
- Support SAP application implementations with technical expertise, presentations, and advice on SAP products.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes and recommend or configure solutions based on best practices.
- Act as a liaison for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve SAP-related problems, and map client requirements to develop modifications.
- Resolve incidents for severity 2 and 3 issues and assist with business escalations.
- Maintain knowledge of the organization and follow all standards.
- Communicate policies and procedures to stakeholders and employees.
- Test new and existing software for production environment acceptance.
