Job Purpose
To develop organisational effectiveness tools and build capabilities for strategic partners. Drive the implementation of organisational effectiveness initiatives. Implement complex organisational effectiveness and change initiatives that support business objectives and align with the organisation’s vision, mission, strategic plan, and cultural values framework.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification and Experience Required
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Business Administration or Management / Psychology (Industrial or Organisational) / Human Resources AND 8-10 years’ experience in a Change Management environment, of which 3-4 years must be at an operational specialist level.
Alternative
- Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 15 years’ change management experience, of which 3-4 years must be at an operational specialist level.

- Analyse and recommend improvements to specialist systems, procedures, and practices.
- Contribute to the optimal use of organisational resources by advising on effective planning and development of resource plans in your area of specialisation.
- Develop a single practice area in line with operational activities and procedural frameworks, and ensure tactical implementation.
- Draw on your technical or professional expertise to identify and recommend tactical solutions to defined problems.
- Integrate business information, compare, analyse, and produce reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and inconsistencies for decision-making.
- Optimise goal achievement through tactical strategy implementation and improvement of practices, processes, and systems across an internal value chain.
- Plan for value-added, continuous practice and system improvements to meet objectives and enhance tactical implementation.
- Proactively identify interconnected problems, assess their impact, and develop best-fit alternatives and implementation solutions.
- Translate top-down policies into your practice area and communicate their impact to relevant stakeholders.
- Recommend changes to optimise processes, systems, practice areas, and procedures, and implement change and innovation.
- Provide alignment and integration between work done by internal and external consultants.
- Develop strategic partnerships with the Executive Team, HR specialists, and internal clients to identify and address change management initiatives that support organisational learning and corporate goals.
- Offer change management expertise to project management for organisation-wide projects, facilitating stakeholder buy-in, support, and change adoption.
- Consult with organisational leadership and HR Business Partners on strategic planning to clarify, communicate, and act on departmental vision and goals within the organisation’s mission, vision, and values.
- Promote the development of Organisational Effectiveness and Change Management skills for HR Business Partners and Line Managers through education, partnership, and consultation.
- Partner with external consultants on initiatives by providing organisational information, supporting implementation, and ensuring follow-up assessments.
- Assess risks of change initiatives and implement actions to manage negative impacts.
- Conduct organisational assessments using surveys to analyse behaviour and recommend change strategies.
- Influence organisational behaviour changes and act as an internal consultant for team building, conflict resolution, and cultural shifts.
- Recommend, manage, and implement organisational changes for enterprise and cluster projects.
