Requirements:

  • National Diploma or BCom in Accounting/Financial Management or equivalent. No criminal record.
  • Three years of active experience in Revenue and Customer Care. Strong skills in planning, organizing, computer use, report writing, and verbal/written communication. Valid driver’s license required.
  • Knowledge of Munsoft software and ability to uphold Batho Pele principles.
  • Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
  • Knowledge of key municipal laws, such as the Municipal Property Rates Act, Municipal Finance Management Act, and Municipal Systems Act.

Duties:

  • Manage municipal valuations according to the Municipal Property Rates Act. Update and implement valuation roll data in the financial system for accurate rates, taxes, and reconciliations.
  • Handle revenue reconciliations for property rates, taxes, and valuations. Support reconciliations of all revenue and receivables against the General Ledger.
  • Update property records using data from the Deeds Office for transfers, consolidations, or subdivisions. Maintain records regularly. Work with the revenue management team to meet revenue goals.
