Requirements:
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) recognized by SAQA in Public Administration, Business Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
- 5 years of experience at a middle or senior managerial level in a similar environment.
- A certificate for entry into the Senior Management Services (SMS) from the National School of Government (NSG), which must be submitted before appointment.
- Computer literacy.
- A valid driver’s license.
Required Knowledge:
- Understanding of the Justice Cluster dynamics.
- Knowledge of public service policies and laws, such as the Public Service Act and Regulations, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), and the Correctional Services Act 111 of 1998 as amended.
- Experience in public service planning processes and regulatory frameworks.
- Knowledge of collective bargaining and effective human resource management.
- In-depth understanding of human resources legislation and regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a business plan aligned with the department’s strategic objectives.
- Mainstream and integrate gender issues into departmental strategies and programs.
- Build understanding of gender equity and equality within the department.
- Develop, monitor, and promote strategies for gender mainstreaming, women empowerment, gender equity, and equality.
- Plan and establish frameworks for stakeholder involvement and participation.
- Provide guidance on creating a new employment equity (EE) plan and monitor its implementation.
- Manage human resources, finance, assets, and performance information.
