Financial Manager II (Fleet Management and Leasing)
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager II to join our Fleet Management and Leasing division. This role is designed for a strategic financial expert who will partner directly with the business to deliver critical financial insights, develop robust processes, and continuously enhance our financial services delivery. You will be at the forefront of financial decision-making, providing guidance that shapes operational strategy and drives business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner actively with business stakeholders to deliver clear, actionable financial insights that inform operational and strategic decision-making processes.
- Monitor team behaviours and provide coaching to ensure a strong service culture that builds lasting relationships, encourages innovative thinking, and enables exceptional client service delivery.
- Manage and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the business’s financial information systems, ensuring data integrity and system optimization.
- Lead the entire budget preparation process from start to finish, managing it throughout the budget period according to established guidelines and assumptions. Conduct thorough variance analysis and report findings to support management decisions and guide corrective actions when needed.
- Record, analyze, and manage all costs along with their key drivers to produce reliable information that supports strategic decision-making within the business.
- Apply relevant accounting principles to accurately record, adjust, and reconcile all financial transactions and business events.
- Maintain comprehensive supporting documentation in line with professional financial accounting and reporting standards.
- Prepare detailed financial reports on business operations and financial conditions. Manage business unit reporting systems for management, project, and performance reporting while implementing optimal processes to deliver management information according to reporting cycles.
- Maximize productivity through efficient planning of people and processes to ensure optimal resource utilization. Identify and implement improvements to accounting and reporting processes.
- Manage complex interrelationships between various systems, data sources, and resources to ensure effective project planning and delivery.
- Review and prepare all tax returns to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and full compliance with applicable tax legislation and regulations. Provide expert advice and practical solutions on business tax matters.
- Actively participate in creating a development culture where information about successes, issues, trends, and ideas is openly shared across the organization.
- Plan and manage team performance, skills development, succession planning, and talent management to continuously improve team competence and performance levels.
- Regularly assess your own performance, seek timely and constructive feedback, and request appropriate training to enhance your professional growth.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum Qualification: B Com degree
- Preferred Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or CIMA certification
- Experience: 3-5 years of working experience in the financial field post CA qualification
- Additional Knowledge: Experience in the financial services industry is advantageous

Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source and secure new fleet management and leasing clients across targeted sectors, focusing on commercial vehicles including trucks, passenger cars, and light delivery vehicles.
- Conduct comprehensive client needs analyses to understand operational requirements, vehicle usage patterns, and cost considerations, then propose tailored leasing and fleet management solutions.
- Drive revenue growth by consistently achieving monthly and annual sales targets for new business acquisition and non-interest income, including value-added services such as maintenance, telematics, and fuel management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (including credit, operations, FNB/RMB bankers, fuel, telematics, procurement, finance, and product teams) and external clients to ensure long-term partnerships and exceptional client satisfaction.
- Stay ahead of market trends and monitor competitor activity in the fleet leasing and mobility sector, using these insights to refine sales strategies and identify emerging opportunities.
- Maintain a robust understanding of financial principles and commercial drivers essential to the business.
- Demonstrate solid financial literacy and analytical capability in all aspects of the role.
- Show proven ability to interpret financial data and make sound business decisions.
- Apply strong grasp of budgeting, cost analysis, and financial forecasting in client solutions.
- Be financially savvy with the ability to assess profitability and manage cost structures effectively.
- Ensure full compliance with internal governance frameworks, risk protocols, and regulatory requirements related to vehicle leasing and fleet operations.
