Position 1: Senior Data Scientist (Full Stack)

Role Overview:

The Senior Data Scientist will drive our data science programme by applying advanced quantitative methods, machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, and predictive analytics. This full-stack position encompasses the entire data lifecycle—from strategic planning and data collection through monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement—aligned with SALGA’s Digital Strategic Framework.

Candidate Profile:

Position 2: Senior Advisor: Municipal ICT Services

Role Overview:

The Senior Advisor will design and develop programmes to improve municipal digital and ICT capability maturity. This role provides expert guidance to municipalities on leading, managing, governing, and operating ICT functions in an evolving digital landscape.

Candidate Profile:

We seek a professional with the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Sound understanding of policy and legislative frameworks relevant to local government ICT
  • Knowledge of SALGA’s business operations and sustainability requirements
  • Understanding of project management principles
  • Strong facilitation, consulting, report writing, and presentation skills
  • Deep understanding of digital transformation and emerging technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution
  • Expert knowledge of ICT governance, policies, processes, frameworks, and architectures
