Job Description

Birkenstock in Mall of North is looking for sales assistants to join their team.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Sales

  • Acknowledge every customer within 30 seconds.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to every customer following Birkenstock procedures.
  • Understand your customer’s needs and use your knowledge to show how products meet those needs.
  • Close the sale and add on extra items.
  • Invite customers to return and become Birkenstock fans.
  • Check your daily sales against your budget every few hours.

Inventory

  • Replenish footwear, apparel, and accessories from the storeroom each day.
  • Minimize shrinkage by keeping the store organized, acknowledging customers, and following changing room policies.
  • Ensure stock entries in the POS system are accurate.
  • Process deliveries by checking quantities, invoices, tagging, hanging, pricing products, and recording in the POS system.
  • Handle customer orders.

Daily Operations

  • Maintain store housekeeping daily, including dusting, cleaning mirrors, vacuuming, emptying bins, clearing the counter, and tidying change rooms.
  • Assist the manager with opening and closing the store.

Training

  • Your training is your responsibility.
  • Get a buddy at first and learn from them.
  • Attend quarterly training sessions and complete assessments.
  • Receive monthly feedback from your manager.
  • Set up monthly meetings with your store manager to discuss progress through the Birkenstock rookie pack.
  • These are key for promotions.

Merchandising

  • Observe the store and keep stock presentation to Birkenstock standards.
  • Replenish sizes as needed.
  • Help the team change windows and mannequins every two weeks.
  • Store POS materials safely to avoid damage.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months customer service experience.
  • Birkenstock knowledge is an advantage.
  • Able to work flexible shifts.
