Activities

Ensure depot operations follow relevant laws and regulations. This helps provide high customer service and supports effective management and efficient terminal operations.

Key Results

• Load and offload products correctly to meet customer needs, service levels, and transport goals. This improves efficiency and optimizes transport.
• Investigate incidents or accidents. Conduct regular checks on gantries for driver compliance with instructions, housekeeping, and vehicle rules. This reduces incidents and ensures legal compliance.
• Follow procedures for draining back products and complete all documentation.
• Minimize operational issues by using contingency plans and informing affected parties. This avoids or reduces disruptions in plant activities.
• Help train operations trainees and employees from other depots through on-the-job training and rotations to meet training goals.
• Perform minor maintenance and keep the area clean, with guidance from supervisors.
• Handle other duties as requested by the Terminal Supervisor or Manager.

HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality)

Manage and reduce risks in terminal operations by:

• Following all HSE policies, rules, guidelines, and legal requirements in your area.
• Promoting a safe work environment and supporting the company’s HSE goals and risk reduction plans.
• Enforcing legal HSE competency requirements in your area.

Legal

• Comply with OHS Act Section 8.2i b for legal adherence to national, environmental, and local laws.
• Ensure compliance with NERSA license conditions.

Governance

• Support effective risk management and internal controls, including asset management, in your area of responsibility.

Candidate Profile

• Grade 12 qualification with at least 1 year of experience in petrochemical, production, warehousing, or industrial environments.
