Description

Provide excellent customer service in the store. Handle merchandising of stock, shelf price labeling, and housekeeping in your assigned area.

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year of related work experience, or Grade 12 without related experience.
  • Ability to communicate in English and the main language spoken in the area.
  • Valid South African ID or work permit.
  • Ability to do basic calculations accurately.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Able to work under pressure.

Key Performance Areas

Customer Service

  • Advise and help customers with products and questions.
  • Assist with and solve customer complaints.

Merchandising Standards

  • Keep bulk stock area safe and organized according to the store layout plan.
  • Ensure your area is fully stocked and follows the store layout and planograms.

Housekeeping

  • Keep your area clear of obstacles. Stock should be merchandised right after delivery so customers can move safely without risk or annoyance.
  • Label shelf prices correctly in your area.
  • Complete checklists for canteen, toilets, and showers when on duty.

Safety (OHSA) Requirements

  • Follow safety rules, like using safety gear and ensuring safety for customers and staff in your area.
  • Merchandise stock safely on racks and in bulk areas so people can move around the store without danger.
  • Report any issues to the Store Manager.

Manage Stock Loss

  • Report damaged stock in your area to the Store Manager.
