Main Objectives

  • To provide outreach on Makhanda’s Devonian palaeontological heritage to learners, general visitors, and tourists.

Requirements

Grade 12 with Science, plus about 2 years of relevant experience. A background in Palaeontology is encouraged, such as completing reputable online palaeontology courses.

  • Valid South African driver’s license.
  • Experience working in a palaeontology lab.
  • Experience working in a Devonian palaeontology lab.
  • Experience with outreach on Devonian palaeontology, including teaching school groups and guided gallery tours.
  • Fluency in isiXhosa and English.
