Operational Ambulance Emergency Assistant – Potchefstroom

Main Purpose of the Job
- Respond to emergency calls and provide intermediate medical care within your scope of practice.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Prepare for and respond to emergency calls.
- Provide patient care according to your training and guidelines.
- Promote ER24 and maintain a positive image in the community.
Required Education
- Essential: Ambulance Emergency Assistant Certificate or Higher Certificate in Emergency Medical Care.
- Desired: Training in Clinical Practice Guidelines from the Health Professions Council of South Africa is an advantage. If you do not have this at the time of application, you must complete it during your probation period if hired.
Required Experience
- Essential Minimum: 1 year in Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
- Desired: 1 year in Intermediate Life Support (ILS).
Required Job Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of best practices in emergency care.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Familiarity with local facilities, routes, and areas.
- Understanding of HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice.
- Skills in completing Patient Report Forms.
- Good English skills (written and spoken).
