SALARY SCALE: TASK GRADE 07 (R201 620.04 – R261 708.84) PER ANNUM, EXCLUDING BENEFITS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12
  • A relevant National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Secretarial/Office Administration
  • Computer literacy – MS Office Applications
  • 2 years’ relevant local government experience

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Provide secretarial support by scheduling, confirming, and updating the diary of the Municipal Manager, and alerting to priority or urgent meetings.
  • Organise, confirm, and schedule meetings or appointments with internal departments and external officials, arrange venues, and handle catering or refreshments needs.
  • Copy, type, and format documents or reports, and create presentations using word processing and related office applications.
  • Record information by referencing source documentation, reports, or instructions with alpha-numeric sequential codes to make retrieval easy.
  • Handle general office support, receptionist, and telephonist functions.
  • Attend to telephone calls and visitors to the Municipal Manager’s office, determine the nature of visits, and direct requests to the right personnel.
