Requirements and Expectations
Minimum Requirements
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or relevant qualification.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant working experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of report writing.
- Knowledge and insight into human resources management prescripts.
- Familiarity with financial systems, such as SAP.
- Basic problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and render general clerical and registry support services within the component.
- Provide and oversee records management and personnel administration support.
- Supervise registry staff and ensure the proper functioning of document control processes.
- Manage the receipt, sorting, opening, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain and update filing systems, ensuring compliance with departmental registry policies.
- Oversee the safekeeping and confidentiality of documents and files.
- Ensure correct classification and indexing of records to facilitate retrieval.
- Manage the transfer and disposal of records in line with approved procedures.
- Conduct regular file audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide training and guidance to registry personnel.
- Perform administrative and reporting duties, including compiling registry performance reports.
- Maintain compliance with records management legislation and information security standards.
Note: Preference will be given to candidates residing within the geographical area.
