Senior Secretary (Short-Term Contract Position)

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) plus a National Diploma in Secretarial or Office Administration, or any related tertiary qualification in Administration at NQF Level 6.
  • Knowledge of secretarial and office administration concepts and functions.

Primary Function

To provide full administrative, secretarial, and office management support to the Director. This includes handling correspondence, keeping records, managing the Director’s diary and meetings, responding to stakeholder queries, and ensuring smooth operations in the Director’s office through effective communication, documentation, and logistics.

Key Performance Areas

  • Coordinate and manage all documentation for the Director’s office.
  • Manage the Director’s diary and schedule of activities.
  • Handle requests to the Director’s office and provide general office support.
  • Offer administrative support to the Director’s office.

  • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills.
