Quality Control Supervisor – Midrand

Purpose of the Role

The Quality Control Supervisor will oversee all quality assurance and inspection activities in the manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all products meet Deposita SA’s internal standards, customer expectations, and relevant industry regulations. Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Lead and manage the Quality Control (QC) team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Promote a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement across the department and facility.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain QC policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  • Prepare and manage all quality control documentation and reports in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Oversee and participate in the inspection and testing of components, devices, and finished products, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established protocols.
  • Identify and investigate product defects or quality issues, determine root causes, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to address and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety, quality, and company policies.

Risk and Compliance Management

  • Oversee risk management and compliance processes within the region.
  • Ensure all containers are inspected prior to dispatch in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prevent potential business losses.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • Technical diploma or associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (advantageous).
  • 3–5 years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

Qualifications and Experience

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in computer science or information systems.
  • 1–2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
  • Effective and efficient in C# / Java.
  • Experienced in Object Oriented Programming, Design patterns, and SOLID principles.
  • Experienced in ORM frameworks.
  • Experienced in Relational Databases and SQL.
  • Experienced in RESTful APIs to connect to back-end services.
  • Proficient in git code versioning tools.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration.
  • Able to use APIs and third-party libraries.
