Requirements
- An NQF Level 6 qualification in Administration, Public Administration, or Public Management.
- Three to five years of experience in administration.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of policy development, administration processes, occupational health and safety, transport policy, and records management in the public service.
- Understanding of the MISS Act and other government laws.
- Knowledge of human resource management, financial management, and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Skills in planning and managing operations, programmes, and projects.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of people management, diversity, and relationship building.
- Focus on clients and customers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Accountable and ethical behaviour.
- Knowledge of analytical methods.
Duties
- Provide administrative support in the Directorate: Operations Central.
- Manage transport functions, including fleet contracts, subsidized vehicles, and travel arrangements.
- Help develop, implement, and monitor transport policies.
- Manage facilities, physical security, and access control.
- Ensure health and safety plans are in place.
- Handle building leases, accommodation requests, and key accounts.
- Assist with developing and implementing housing policies.
- Oversee records management, including registry duties, mail handling, and filing systems.
- Provide office services like reception, switchboard, security, procurement, and cellphone management.
- Supervise staff, including training, development, and discipline.
- Note: Shortlisted candidates must complete a practical test.
