Store Cleaner (Fixed Term) – Artem, Sea Point Jobs

Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires an experienced cleaner for their Artem store in Sea Point. You will maintain a clean and neat store according to Dis-Chem’s hygiene standards. This includes the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• A minimum of 6 months’ cleaning experience
• Good command of English
• Basic customer service skills
• An additional language spoken in the area
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• Bilingual
• Previous retail store cleaning experience

Job Specification

• Provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store, shop floor, and communal areas before the store opens each day.
• Develop routines to keep all areas of the store clean.
• Ensure the canteen and restrooms are clean and stocked with necessary products at all times.
• Be available during operational hours to clean as needed.
• Use the correct cleaning products and equipment for each task.
• Put up wet floor signs at both ends when cleaning the floor.
• Be friendly, professional, and ready to assist customers.
• Follow health and safety regulations in all duties.
