Senior Process Supervisor

Job Summary
Reporting to the Process Coordinator, the successful candidate will oversee all electrical, mechanical pumping, and water quality activities at Zwartkopjes and satellite stations on a shift basis.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 (advantageous).
  • 5 years of experience managing large pumping stations.
  • 2 years in a supervisory role with high-voltage (HV) electrical switching experience.
  • 2 years of HV electrical switching experience (desired).
  • Code B driver’s license and ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test.
  • Computer literacy (advantageous).

Primary Duties

  • Achieve quality control standards.
  • Manage resources and monitor assets at booster stations. Coordinate with the coordinator or Senior Process Supervisor to ensure plant availability and reliability.
  • Manage and control energy consumption.
  • Monitor reservoir levels.
  • Control labor costs and transport.
  • Apply statutory and policy requirements as set by Rand Water.
  • Maintain sound human resource practices.
  • Participate in project activities when needed.
  • Monitor the installation of new equipment.

Required Knowledge

  • Water distribution.
  • Conflict resolution.
  • Labour Relations Act.
  • Application of ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and OHSAS 18001.
