Job Summary

  • An opportunity is available for a skilled Code 14 Driver to join our team at our contract site. See the minimum requirements, duties, and responsibilities below for more details.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate.
  • Code EC driver’s license with a valid PrDP.
  • 3 years of experience driving an ultra-heavy vehicle.
  • 3 years of experience driving a Superlink/Interlink combination.
  • Willing to work weekends and public holidays.
  • Knowledge of defensive driving techniques.
  • Understanding of reporting procedures for emergencies and defects.
  • Skills in vehicle inspections and operating a fire extinguisher.
  • Ability to maximize vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Experience with vehicle loading and offloading techniques.
  • Reliable own transport to and from work.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Medically fit.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare the vehicle for trips and operate ultra-heavy duty vehicles safely.
  • Load, transport, and offload vehicles.
  • Handle required documentation and perform related duties.
  • Follow all reasonable instructions from the supervisor.
  • Be prepared to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Maintain a safe driving record and clean criminal record.
  • Keep vehicles, uniform, and PPE clean and in good condition.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
  • Successfully complete the following: medical evaluation, USCS training modules, induction processes, practical driving evaluation, and verification of clean criminal record.
