Job Summary

We are looking for a Food Service Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help cooks and chefs with food preparation and production, serve meals to customers, and keep the dining area and kitchen clean.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • A culinary qualification is an advantage

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help prepare meals, especially salads and desserts
  • Arrange entrees, salads, desserts, and other foods on the serving line
  • Keep the serving line stocked and clean
  • Store and record leftover food
  • Clean and organize canteen tables, kitchen, and other areas
  • Follow any reasonable requests from management
  • Assist with other duties as needed, even if outside your main responsibilities
