General Worker – Paarl (55453)

Purpose:

  • The role supports the packaging team to complete production on time and in full. You will help ensure a safe, quality product that meets all standards and requirements.

Job Summary:

  • Follow good housekeeping, hygiene, and safety practices.
  • Help machine operators with cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
  • Meet all requirements within the set timeframes from the production schedule.
  • Always follow workplace standards and practices.
  • Ensure all procedures are followed for process control.
  • Pay close attention to the condition of incoming materials and finished products.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a production environment.
  • Willing and able to work shifts and overtime when required.

Knowledge Required:

  • Knowledge and understanding of HACCP in a production environment.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of quality in a production environment.
  • Basic knowledge of process control systems and standards.

Skills Required:

  • Basic numerical and technical skills.
  • Administration skills.
  • Good communication skills (English and Afrikaans).
  • Able to work alone and in a team.
  • Problem identification.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Target-driven and focused on continuous improvements.
