Group Compliance Services seeks Senior Safety Officers to develop and implement a Conventional Industrial Safety program, ensuring compliance with NECSA SHEQ-INS system, Occupational Health and Safety, and applicable licenses. This is within the Strategy and Business Enablement Division.
Job Purpose:
Develop and implement Conventional Industrial Safety program for compliance with SHEQ-INS and OHS requirements.
Key Performance Areas:
- Process Management:
- Provide technical guidance to Safety Officers on Health & Safety programs.
- Coordinate Safety Officers’ activities and collate feedback.
- Advise line management and personnel on health and safety.
- Guide line management on SHEQ compliance for Occupational Hygiene and Industrial Safety.
- Report matters to management and stakeholders.
- Guide on SHEQ implementation and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance by updating requirements and identifying shortcomings.
- Compile reports on program status and effectiveness.

- Audits (Internal and External):
- Prepare/attend inspections/audits (SHEQ, SABS, NNR).
- Close findings on conventional safety. Ensure H&S Rep inspections.
- Provide status feedback.
- Guide on statutory surveys/audits.
- Conduct internal audits on safety program.
- Ensure SHEQ inspections/audits on construction sites.
