Supply Chain Officer

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have completed Matric.
  • A Diploma qualification as recognized by SAQA.
  • Degree or BTech in Supply Chain Management would be an added advantage.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management within the SCM environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Treasury prescripts related to Supply Chain Management, PFMA, and Code of Conduct for Supply Chain Management Practitioners.
  • The applicant must have a valid driver’s license code EB/C1 and be able to drive such a vehicle.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Compile bid/quotation documents and ensure alignment with ADA SCM policies, processes, procedures, and other applicable prescripts.
  • Invite bids/quotations using relevant media to promote competition.
  • Ensure all bid/quotation offers are recorded in the register.
  • Check completeness of bid documents and confirm that requirements have been met.
  • Provide secretarial support, advice, and guidance to bid committees.
  • Register and check all purchase requisitions for completeness.
  • Generate orders and expedite delivery of those orders.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required.
