Job Description
Birkenstock Springfield is seeking a seasonal sales assistant to join the team.

Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet every customer within 30 seconds.
- Provide excellent customer service by following Birkenstock procedures.
- Understand customer needs and use your knowledge to show how products meet them.
- Complete sales and encourage add-on purchases.
- Invite customers to return and become Birkenstock fans.
- Check your daily sales against your personal target every few hours.
Inventory
- Restock footwear, apparel, and accessories from the storeroom each day.
- Reduce shrinkage by keeping the store organized, greeting customers, and following changing room rules.
- Ensure accurate stock entries in the POS system.
- Handle deliveries by checking quantities, invoices, tagging, hanging, pricing products, and recording them in the POS system.
- Process customer orders.
Daily Operations
- Maintain store cleanliness daily, including dusting, cleaning mirrors, vacuuming, emptying bins, clearing counters, and tidying changing rooms.
- Help the manager with opening and closing the store.
Training
- Take responsibility for your own training.
- Work with a buddy at the start to learn from them.
- Attend quarterly training sessions and complete assessments.
- Receive monthly feedback from your manager.
- Schedule monthly meetings with your store manager to review progress using the Birkenstock rookie pack.
- These meetings are key to your eligibility for promotions.
Merchandising
- Observe the store and keep stock presented according to Birkenstock standards.
- Replenish sizes as needed.
- Help the team update windows and mannequins every two weeks.
- Store POS materials safely to prevent damage.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- At least 6 months of customer service experience
- Knowledge of Birkenstock products is an advantage
- Ability to work flexible shifts
