Job Description

Birkenstock Springfield is seeking a seasonal sales assistant to join the team.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Sales

  • Greet every customer within 30 seconds.
  • Provide excellent customer service by following Birkenstock procedures.
  • Understand customer needs and use your knowledge to show how products meet them.
  • Complete sales and encourage add-on purchases.
  • Invite customers to return and become Birkenstock fans.
  • Check your daily sales against your personal target every few hours.

Inventory

  • Restock footwear, apparel, and accessories from the storeroom each day.
  • Reduce shrinkage by keeping the store organized, greeting customers, and following changing room rules.
  • Ensure accurate stock entries in the POS system.
  • Handle deliveries by checking quantities, invoices, tagging, hanging, pricing products, and recording them in the POS system.
  • Process customer orders.

Daily Operations

  • Maintain store cleanliness daily, including dusting, cleaning mirrors, vacuuming, emptying bins, clearing counters, and tidying changing rooms.
  • Help the manager with opening and closing the store.

Training

  • Take responsibility for your own training.
  • Work with a buddy at the start to learn from them.
  • Attend quarterly training sessions and complete assessments.
  • Receive monthly feedback from your manager.
  • Schedule monthly meetings with your store manager to review progress using the Birkenstock rookie pack.
  • These meetings are key to your eligibility for promotions.

Merchandising

  • Observe the store and keep stock presented according to Birkenstock standards.
  • Replenish sizes as needed.
  • Help the team update windows and mannequins every two weeks.
  • Store POS materials safely to prevent damage.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • At least 6 months of customer service experience
  • Knowledge of Birkenstock products is an advantage
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
