Social Work Supervisor Grade 1: Mopani District: Lulekani Jobs

Key Performance Areas

• Ensure that social work services are delivered to care for, support, protect, and develop vulnerable individuals, groups, families, and communities through relevant programs.
• Make sure services meet norms and standards. Ensure social workers follow the rules of the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP). Supervise and guide social workers and social auxiliary workers.
• Manage and coordinate all programs, including changes in social welfare services. Provide support and mentoring to social workers. Offer counseling to clients. Monitor and evaluate non-profit organizations.

Prerequisites

• A suitable qualification at NQF 7 or equivalent in Social Work, recognized by SAQA. Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• At least seven (7) years of experience in social work after registration with the SACSSP. A valid motor vehicle driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).

• Computer skills. Interpersonal skills. Communication skills. Report writing skills. Management and evaluation skills. Knowledge of supervision models in the sector.
• Knowledge of relevant programs in social work. In-depth understanding of the social work service delivery model. People management and empowerment. Knowledge of NPO governance.
