General Worker

The purpose of this role is to assist with all functions in the shipping department. You will help maintain adequate production levels on the shipping floor and report any issues to the supervisor on site.

Requirements:

  • Grade 10-12
  • 1-2 years’ working experience in a wool warehouse
  • Experience in the shipping department is an advantage
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
  • Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment

Key Functions:

  • Work with the team to handle and move bales
  • Assist with cross-hauling; offload bales from trucks
  • Pull bales from the stacking area and return unused ones
  • General housekeeping; keep a safe and orderly work environment
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor or management
