Information Technology Practitioner – 4 Posts (5-Month Contract)

Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate.
 - National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Information Technology or Computer Science, recognized by SAQA.
 - 1–2 years of experience in the field.
 - Good knowledge and experience in PC repairs, printer repairs, router setup, LAN switching, and network protocols.
 - Strong technical problem-solving skills.
 - Knowledge of Microsoft products like Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
 - Skills in setting up and managing printers and multi-function devices.
 - Understanding of desktop and infrastructure setups, including servers, switches, networks, and cabling.
 - Experience with Exchange Server Administration, TCP/IP networking, and 802.11 wireless is a plus.
 - Strong interpersonal skills, a focus on service, and the ability to work under pressure.
 - Ability to solve problems creatively and think outside the box.
 - A valid driver’s license.
 
Duties:
- Repair computer equipment such as servers, PCs, and printers.
 - Install, set up, and support network servers, computers, and applications.
 - Check the IT setup and prepare reports.
 - Help with department-wide applications.
 - Provide software and app support to users.
 - Manage support for office tools like phone systems, copiers, faxes, and cell phones.
 - Guide and train IT interns.
 - Monitor local area network (LAN) performance and manage IT services.
 - Give first-level technical help for shared systems and networks.
 - Track and handle all issues logged in the support system.
 - Offer quick help to district offices with national health systems.
 - Monitor district IT projects and track security measures like anti-virus and backups daily, weekly, and monthly.
 - Talk to users about their IT needs.
 - Keep an up-to-date list of all desktops and network gear.
 - Run IT awareness training and ensure everyone follows IT rules.
