Key Performance Areas

  • Repair, provide breakdown services, and maintain both heavy and light government vehicles.
  • Offer technical services and support in the government garage or workshop, working with other artisans.
  • Handle administrative tasks, such as contributing to the budgeting process and preparing reports as needed.
  • Manage finances by controlling and monitoring expenditure to ensure efficient cash flow.
  • Manage people by developing, motivating, and using human resources effectively. Set and monitor performance standards for subordinates.
  • Maintain and improve your expertise through continuous individual development to stay updated with new technologies and procedures.

Prerequisites

  • An appropriate Trade Test certificate in Diesel or Electromechanical.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the relevant field.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence (except for people with disabilities).

Person Profile

  • Core and Process Competencies: Change management, financial management, problem-solving and analysis, customer focus and responsiveness, communication, planning and organizing, and decision-making. Knowledge of computer-aided technical applications, technical report writing, and occupational health and safety legislation.
