Key Performance Areas
- Assist in managing service delivery complaints against the South African Police Service in the province.
- Conduct court watch briefs at courts in the province.
- Help analyze court watch brief reports and follow up with identified police stations.
- Monitor the implementation of Independent Police Investigative Directorate recommendations by the South African Police Service.
- Supervise team members in the unit.
Requirements
- An undergraduate qualification at NQF level 6 or equivalent, recognized by the South African Qualifications Authority.
- A qualification in Public Administration or Policing is an advantage.
- 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
- A valid driver’s license (except for people with disabilities).
Person Profile
- Knowledge of the Domestic Violence Act, Criminal Procedure Act, Sexual Offences Act, Crime Prevention Strategy, South African Criminal Justice System Act, National Development Plan, Civilian Secretariat for Police Service Act and Regulations, and municipal community safety policies.
- Skills in Public Finance Management Act, computer literacy, policy analysis, investigation, reporting, presentation, public relations, management, and interpersonal relations.
